Atlanta has A LOT of trees. Unfortunately, they don't live forever. When an arborist removes a tree from your neighbor's home, the logs and branches that are left become a waste product for the arborist. Rather than letting those logs end up in a waste stream like the landfill, I rent a property on the east side of Atlanta where they can drop the logs and I will process them into firewood you can enjoy.

Tired of buying wet wood that is marketed as "seasoned" or getting shortchanged on the quantity you were promised? I can solve both of those problems.

• I carry a moisture meter to all deliveries and will split open a couple pieces so you can confirm the log is below 20% moisture content all the way through the log, not just on the surface.
• your wood will be delivered pre-stacked on 2x4x16 racks. You won't have to wait until it's unloaded and stacked to confirm you received the amount of wood that was advertised. 4 racks = 1 face cord (42 cubic feet). 12 racks = 1 full cord (128 cubic feet).

Need just a little bit of wood? You can buy bags of wood at our neighborhood roadside stand in Kirkwood (2318 1st Ave NE).

Need a lot of wood? I offer delivery on larger orders ($100 or more). The wood will come in pre-stacked racks but if you already have a wood storage solution we can restack it on site for you. I also have an electric dolly that can climb stairs if you prefer to keep your firewood on the porch. Just be sure to let me know stairs are involved when ordering.

What kind of wood should you buy?

I'll have a website this fall to show the full variety of options available and facilitate the ordering process but here's a quick description for now.

Most of what I sell are seasoned hardwoods. If you want to cook over wood, I offer premium hardwoods like oak, cherry, pecan, hickory & maple that will put a nice smoke flavor on your meal.
